Whether your here for the day or a lifetime, Wellsburg is a great place to be.  A small community located in the northwest corner of Grundy County, we boast small town living while only minutes away from the city.  With the addition of 4-lane Highway 20 it is a short drive to the larger communities of Waterloo, Cedar Falls and Iowa Falls.  In about 25 minutes you have access to retail stores such as: Scheels, Blain's Farm and Fleet, Menards, Target, Wal-Mart, and many other. Marshalltown is also a 30 minute trip south on Highway 14.

Even though we are a small community, Wellsburg has a lot to offer.  We have a swimming pool, excellent education system, and parks for our kids to enjoy.  Golfers enjoy our challenging 9 hole course at Meadowbrook.  Our new library also offers a full range of services and our Memorial Building is the perfect place for family gatherings. We also have plenty of room for expansion with lots available in the WM Riekena Addition

Wellsburg is also home to charming specialty shops, wonderful dining, the historic Wells Hotel and Neessen House. Each year in early June we celebrate with our annual "Wellsburg Days", complete with a parade, street carnival, and entertainment.
